Our Regional Co-ordinator for Southern England,Gursharan, has been visiting Naomi House in Winchester today, delivering some of the prizes they won in our Design a Christmas Card Competition, including a digital camera and Disney goodies. Theatre and cinema vouchers have also been sent as part of the prize. Many thanks to everyone at Naomi House for welcoming Gursharan!   Naomi House said:- The children are having a great time with their new camera. chART’s Patron Adam Masters raises thousands in the Madchester Guitar charity auction.

A guitar signed by the legendary Manchester Music Icons has sold for an amazing £6,600 in a charity auction.

The Madchester Guitar, which was sold through online auction site eBay, was covered in signatures from the likes of the Stone Roses, Oasis, Elbow, Mike Joyce, Rowetta, Johnny Marr, Shaun Ryder and Buzzcocks

The auction was won by an American music fan in Washington DC.

Adam said "I thought I could use my contacts in the music business to do some good." It took two years to get all the signatures, but he said musicians had been more than happy to get their name on the instrument.  Every single artist I've asked to sign the guitar was really happy to get involved. Not one said no," he said.

Suzanne, Jackie & Carol would like to thank Adam from the bottom of our hearts.  The amount of work which has been put into this project is absolutely amazing.  Thank you for donating the proceeds to 2 children’s hospices which chART support and thank you for being such an amazing, kind and caring guy.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to Ian Hill for all his help in continuously promoting this auction an his brilliant idea’s for exposure.

We sent Olympic crafts kits to Naomi House and jacks place in Winchester  to enable the children to make their own torches.  They couldn't make it into Winchester to see the Olympic Torch Relay but held their own Torch Relay at the hospice and beautiful countryside around Sutton Scotney.
