Donate It’s very easy and secure to make a donation using PayPal by clicking the Donate button above. You do not even need to have a PayPal account as you can pay using a credit or debit card. The Donate page also gives full details of how to make a cheque payment by post.

We welcome the donation of new musical instruments, books, DVDs, CDs or Arts related toys, which will be passed on to Children’s Hospices and Young People’s Units. We are sorry we cannot accept used items for reasons of health and safety. However, you could sell these privately and then donate the proceeds to chART.

Donate tickets for live music events, theatre or cinema– please see details of our ticket bank on the Music, Theatre/Dance or Film/Photography pages.

Volunteer to help us to run stalls at fetes, festivals and other events, distribute our promotional literature or organise your own fund-raising events for chART.

Collect Please contact us if you can place one of our collection boxes in a shop, pub, other venue or in your home. (Please be aware that you are not authorised to organise door to door or street collections).

Artists, actors, authors, children’s entertainers, crafters, dancers, designers, musicians and storytellers. We’d love to hear from you if you can help us to fulfil our aims. Please check out our dedicated pages for the different Arts disciplines and the Contacts page for details on how to get in touch with our team leaders.

Local bands and music venues– please consider donating the proceeds of a gig to our cause or provide us with free use of a your venue to run a music event, quiz night or auction.

Run, walk, swim, or whatever you do best, to raise funds!

Please contact our Sponsored Events Co-ordinator, John, if you wish to organise a sponsored event. We will supply a sponsor form and T-shirt. chART teams will be participating in the following fund-raising events throughout 2012, most of which organise children’s involvement through junior events. You will need to register early to guarantee a place if you wish to join in the fun!:-

Great Manchester Run 10km, 20th May 2012, Manchester City Centre;

York Run For All10K:5th August 2012,City of York;

Great North Run 16th September 2012; the world’s largest half- marathon, Tyne Bridge, Newcastle Gateshead to South Shields:

Alnwick Castle Ladybird Fun Run and Picnic : Please join us at Alnwick Castle, (location of Hogwarts in the first Harry Potter movies) for a day of fun with our mascot Ladybird Elise and bring along your own little ladybug too! Summer 2012—date and registration details TBC.

Walk The Wall Do the entire length or short walks along the path of the 84 mile stretch of Hadrian’s Wall. Summer 2012– date TBC. Find out more about this World Heritage Site on:

Santa Dash! Liverpool, December 2012 (TBC). Don a Santa Claus costume and run with thousands of others through the streets of Liverpool to raise money for children’s hospices we work with in the North West of England.

 

Schools, colleges, universities, pubs, clubs, choirs and other organisations - if you’d like to organise an event to support your local children’s hospice, we can provide promotional materials and help you to organise your event, from cake bakes to parachute jumps! We can help organise quiz nights, raffles, sponsored sing-a-longs and dances, coffee mornings, sporting events, book-a-thons, craft fairs, or whatever you wish- we’d love to help you to help us!

Hospices: If you work for a children’s hospice, are a health professional or a family member of a child with life-limiting conditions, we’d really value your input. Please do get in touch and let us know how you’d like us to help bring the Arts to children in hospices.
