How We Help

We are very fortunate in our talented Crafts team, all of whom are qualified and skilled makers.

Each has either experience of working with children or as artists in residence with young people at universities and colleges.

We have access to a working pottery and contacts with many crafters throughout the UK.

Therefore, we are able to offer children and their families diverse experiences across all Crafts areas.

chART supports the work of Arts & Crafts therapists in hospices, offering Crafts sessions for the children and materials. We also offer Family Days where parents and siblings can try out many new Crafts with our professional instructors and have some fun!

The crafts created by their children often become precious treasured items for families.

Puppet Making from wooden marionettes to simple finger or sock puppets. We also provide puppet theatres to enable children to enjoy their creations through imaginative play.

Pottery sessions with our Crafts team leader, Lauren, a qualified ceramicist. At hospice events, children and their families have fun creating with clay, or decorating bisqueware with their own designs.

Sugar Crafts

Seasonal Activities to include christmas crafts sessions, making and decorating gingerbread, sweets, decorations, cards, calendars and puppets.
